You can meet a traveller from an antique land
Who whispers secrets of the past;
You can sail away for a year and a day
Over oceans deep and vast;
You can slip the surly bonds of earth
Soaring outward into space;
You can go to where the sidewalk ends
And discover a dreamlike place;
You can see strange things done in the midnight sun
And creatures that are not there;
You can go down to the end of the town
And wander without a care;
You’ll amaze yourself when you go to the shelf
And turn a page and look;
Anything can happen when you read,
Just open up a book! |
